Have you heard the news?! We launched a charm collection! You can now customize your own necklace with a selection of charms that depict popular symbols and birthstones. Birthstones are thought to have existed thousands of years ago and their meaning stands the test of time. Let’s discover the birthstone of each month and why you should adorn yourself with yours!

It was in 1912 that the National Association of Jewellers created a list of “birthstones” which would entice consumers to purchase jewelry as sentimental gifts to themselves or for the ones they love. It was certainly a genius marketing idea that made customers want to buy something unique and special over and over again. But, there is also a deeper meaning to attributing specific gemstones to each month.

Birthstones are not only beautiful but each one also has a metaphysical meaning and a purpose. Adorning yourself with your birthstone is a lovely way to connect with your natural magical gifts.

Our February birthstone is amethyst, one of the most calming stones on earth! Amethyst bring us energy that feels peaceful, tranquil, feminine and low stress. Amethyst is also thought to invoke spiritual protection, so when it is worn it can ward off any negativity.

Aquamarine is our birthstone for March and it is also our number one best selling gemstone! Not only is it a beautiful stone to represent the month of March, it’s energy is so dreamy that it is coveted by many. Aquamarine represents water, dreams, youth, happiness and communication. If your working on goals or wanting to create positive shifts within your relationships, then aquamarine may be a great ally for you.

April

Our Boho-Magic birthstone for April is quartz! Quartz is considered a master healing stone because it truly has special powers. Quartz not only has its own set of characteristics, but it can also amplify the symbolism of other stones. It can uplift and carry any intention. On its own, quartz can represent new beginnings, purification and regulation.

May

Our birthstone for May is green onyx. We adorn ourselves with this green stone so we can be in alignment with the blooming earth during Springtime. Green onyx is a stone that represents abundance, clarity, growth, the heart chakra, union and balance.

For June, we chose moonstone as our birthstone. Moonstone represents feminine energy, cosmic forces, the ocean and our intuition. It’s a wonderful stone to gift to a woman because it can thoughtfully symbolize her natural gifts. Plus, just in case you didn’t know, the full moon in June is called the strawberry moon within mysticism! Pair it with garnet or ruby to create a powerful duo that honours feminine energy.
